Accounting Specialist
We are looking for a self-driven Accounting Specialist to take ownership of the company’s cash operations — executing disbursements and receipts, maintaining visibility over our cash position, and supporting day-to-day accounting. This role is the first line of control over the company’s cash flow and has a direct impact on the quality and efficiency of our funding decisions.
Job responsibilities
- Handle daily disbursements including vendor payments, taxes, employee reimbursements, and foreign currency remittances.
- Update daily bank balances and cash movements to maintain the company cash book.
- Serve as the primary banking contact for account maintenance, online banking access, remittance inquiries, and bank information requests.
- Prepare and roll forward cash flow forecasts to support company funding decisions.
- Perform bank reconciliations, accounts receivable clearing, and overdue follow-up.
- Process seal application based on approved payment documents; maintain payment documentation and authorization records.
- Assist in daily accounting operations including journal entries, expense recognition, and month-end closing.
- Perform other ad hoc accounting or finance-related duties assigned by supervisors.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in treasury, cash management, or accounting functions.
- Hands-on experience with foreign currency remittances and multi-bank account management.
- Solid accounting fundamentals with familiarity in bookkeeping, expense allocation, and closing processes.
- Proficiency in Excel and financial systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle).
- Detail-oriented and accountable, with strong regard for documentation and process integrity.
- Ability to read/write English financial documents is a plus.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience working with overseas entities or offshore banks.
- Experience in startups or multinational environments.
- Familiarity with Taiwan tax regulations and compliance processes.
- Experience adopting automation or AI tools to streamline reconciliation and reporting tasks.
